Animal Rehabilitation
Specialists
Nearly 1,000 m2 of outdoor space
Our nearly 1,000 m² outdoor facilities are specifically designed and fully equipped for active rehabilitation and fitness programmes. We offer a unique animal rehabilitation and physiotherapy service that is currently unmatched in Catalonia, particularly suitable for working and sporting dogs (agility, herding dogs, guide dogs, police dogs...), but also for fearful, anxious or highly reactive animals that can get confined or enclosed spaces.
These facilities have led the College of Veterinarians of Barcelona to officially recognise Veterium as a Veterinary Referral Centre for Rehabilitation in Catalonia.
What does our General Consultation and Assessment include?
Before starting any recovery program, at Veterium we carry out a comprehensive general consultation. This initial examination allows us to assess the animal’s overall physical condition, detect underlying pain, analyze its joint mobility and design a completely customized treatment plan. Our philosophy combines pain management, active rehabilitation and veterinary physiotherapy to guarantee optimal and lasting recovery.
What type of patients is it intended for?
- Sporting and working dogs: Physical conditioning programs, injury prevention and improvement of sports performance in disciplines such as agility or rescue and intervention dogs.
- Postoperative recovery: Veterinary physiotherapy treatments to accelerate recovery after orthopaedic or neurological surgical interventions.
- Senior animals: Management of osteoarthritis and degenerative diseases typical of old age to significantly improve their quality of daily life.
- Animals with behavioural challenges: Thanks to our 1,000m2 of outdoor space, we offer a safe and calm environment for dogs that are fearful, reactive or have high levels of stress that do not tolerate conventional waiting rooms.
